When you entered this world, the way that you were met shaped so much of who you are.

This phenomenon is still happening.

• How the Moon teaches us how to receive good fortune through somatic attunement.

• How reality becomes reorganized through those experiences of attunement.
  

The Moon has a special connection to what we share as mammals: to be born vulnerable and in need, where our survival depends on being cared for.

You had an extended incubation period in your youth that enabled the development of your creativity and psychic complexity, beyond your survival itself.

Here you are, alive, and still you yearn for something more as long as you live. Our strategies for fulfilling our desires change in adulthood, but we are still mammals. We are designed for co-regulation and connection. And we vastly underestimate this part of fleshy, organic, LIFE when we get too stuck in “the real world”.

This is where I re-introduce to you the astrological Moon and its creative mysteries — the way the plot of our life moves forward because of intimate contact and nourishment, not simply because of tactical actions & goals.

Consider the patterns:

• An infant is born with a brain full of open possibilities, like an unshaped field. Through social contact, through tactile experience and direct interface with the environment, experience selects and strengthens certain neural pathways, while others fade.

• Our personalities and shadows are greatly developed and informed with roots in childhood by what is mirrored or supported versus what is shunned or rejected.

• A seed that is watered and has proper sunlight sprouts and blooms toward the Sun — its entire existence enabled by proper nutrients.

In the general culture as adults, however, we can often have the inherited assumption that the needle of our life moves forward due to something more tactical and mechanical - something more in the archetypal realms of particular and limited expressions of Mercury, Saturn, or Mars - like mental activity, logic, work, and force. Labor in equals results. Input output formulas. We build or construct the realities we want to inhabit through our work and effort.

While all this enterprising constructiveness certainly has a place inside of efficiency and worldbuilding, there is a different type of plot acceleration that the Moon offers, when we have moments of genuine contact. To truly be seen and felt allows a part of us that is nascent or latent to be fertilized and to bloom naturally - just as was true for us when we were infants and small children. The story did not end at that point in time! And dropped plots from the past are not lost — they are just unwatered seeds, hidden deep within an inner recess and brought all cyclically back up as we engage with our relationships.

Mammals have a special ability to co-regulate, to share a reality field and feel together. Inside of this field, it is not just about feeling good or feeling better. If this field is truly resourced, supple, and alive, new realities can be born from it. This is a feeling I imagine many of you are searching and longing for - the sense that your conversations, interactions, and movements through the day and with others and loved ones actually feel alive, eventful and fruitful — not just a transactional slog through the motions for some eventual future reward.

The very fabric of reality rearranges around moments of true feeling, true contact, and this moves the plot of our lives in a specifically lunar way.

How did doors selectively close and open, or synchronicities emerge, upon your felt sense? Upon recognition of what had never been named, touched, or felt so purely?
